"the best cottage we've ever stayed in"

Here's a glimpse of the accommodation provided in the Avish.  The cottage sleeps four to six comfortably, and a child's cot and high chair can be provided on request.

The Avish kitchen

Photo

The kitchen is at the heart of the Avish.  Large and well- equipped, it combines traditional features (Donegal tweed curtains, limestone floors, Belfast sink, oak table and dresser) with modern-day comfort. A recent addition is a wood-pellet stove that we programme according to your needs.
[Wood pellets provided, as are Irish cookery books in English and French!]

The skullery

In what used to be a dairy, we've made a skullery and utility room, where there's a washing machine and tumble drier, a fridge freezer, a sink and a cupboard for Henry the Hoover.

The living room

Cosy, very spacious and comfortably furnished, the living room has a high vaulted ceiling, a solid oak floor and a wood-burning stove.  There's even a little upright piano.  This is a great place to chill out in the evening and watch the sun set .
[Wi-fi / TV and DVD / books / boardgames / piano music / record-cassette-cd-player /DVDs & CDs provided]

The mezzanine

The mezzanine is perched above the sitting room and children usually adopt it as their space!  A wooden staircase leads up to it and there's a desk and a sofa that folds out into a bed and is really quite comfortable in both roles.
[Wifi / colour printer provided.]

The main bedroom
